Lauren and Mitchell’s love story needs to be written into a romance novel like now. They met when Mitchell was playing with his band at Appalachian Brewing Company in Harrisburg and she thought he was super cute on stage. (He’s a Chris Martin doppelgänger so that’s totally not surprising) They had a brief romance but he lived pretty far away so they lost touch for a year until they met up again at ABC. And the rest, as they say, is history! Mitchell’s dad joked during his speech that Mitchell married a groupie. Heck to the yes!
I almost blew Lauren’s eardrum out on our timeline call when she told me her wedding dress was from BHLDN (Anthropologie’s bridal line – need I say more?) so of course after hugs I made a beeline for her dress. She looked like a DREAM and her bridesmaids wore these incredible emerald green gowns that went perfectly with the brick of the Cork Factory.
Their portrait time was a perfect example of getting a lot done in a small amount of time. It was sunny but super cold, so I wanted to make sure I wasn’t giving anyone frostbite. I LOVE their photos behind the ballroom. (Next to the dumpsters – can you tell?) The light was magical and we totally lucked out.
Their reception was a freaking blast thanks to my buddy, DJ Adam Gingrich, of Mixed-Up Productions. He’s a fellow Potterhead so we had a good old nerdy time catching up. Lauren and Mitchell’s friends are seriously great dancers who gave me lots of good photo material to work with. Their incredible day made me fall in love with winter weddings! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Way!
