The oldest Catholic university in Pennsylvania, Villanova University is named after Saint Thomas of Villanova. The name Villanova translated from Latin means “new home”. I thought that was pretty fitting, seeing as Annelise and Jon are creating a new home together as they plan their upcoming wedding! The gothic 1800s architecture and rich history of Villanova’s campus was perfect for their timeless engagement photos.

We hopped over to the nearby Valley Forge park from Villanova, where the National Park Service preserves and operates the site. Valley Forge sprawls across 3,500 acres, offering a vast array of scenic engagement photo locations. Annelise asked if we could recreate a photo from her parents’ 90s engagement session in this very spot. My response was basically, “Say less”. Recreating these wine picnic photos at Valley Forge was my favorite part of their entire session!
