Prepare to make your grand entrance in the East Court during intimate gatherings. Sunsets are best viewed during your cocktail hour on the North Terrace and Sculpture Garden. Receptions and seated dinners are set against dramatic arched windows under the high ceilings of Fusco Hall. Dating back to 1855, the space is full of original rugs and wallpapers, which make for unique wedding photography backdrops. 5. Winterthur Museum and Gardens

One of my all time favorite luxury wedding venues on this list and only a short 15 minute drive from the city center is Winterthur Museum and Gardens. I once compared this venue’s grounds to The Shire in LOTR and I stand by that statement. Winterthur features enchanting gardens, whimsical structures, woodsy-meadow ceremony spots, and stunning museum interiors. There’s never a shortage of jaw dropping wedding photo backdrops and your guests will never stop talking about this incredible 1,000 acre property.

6. Hagley Museum

Just a quick 10 minute drive from the downtown city center you’ll find the historic Hagley Museum. The venue is located on the property of 19th century estate Eleutherian Mills, the very first du Pont family home built in America. 235 acres of grassy meadows, towering trees, and heirloom gardens envelop the property. You can host your celebration with up to 200 guests in any of the three separate event facilities on the property. This space is a great option for couples who want to choose their own vendors since you don’t have to choose from a preferred list.

7. DuPont Country Club & Brantwyn Estate
